Help, and how this guide works

Gambling help in Saskatchewan is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day. The second half of this page explains how the Highway 9 desk checks the facts in this guide.

Where to get help

  • The Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-306-6789. It is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day, with trained counsellors.
  • SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion keeps a person out of all nine Saskatchewan casinos for a term they choose, from 6 months to 5 years. Ask at any SIGA casino or by appointment at SIGA's Central Office in Saskatoon; no one can enrol another person.
  • SaskGaming's Game Break is a voluntary self-exclusion from all casinos in the province, for 6 months to 5 years. It also covers PlayNow.com.
  • SIGA lists the File Hills Qu'Appelle White Raven Healing Centre in Fort Qu'Appelle among First Nations treatment centres for gambling. Its toll-free number is 1-866-748-8922.

Setting a limit before the drive

Before the drive out, decide how much money and how much time to spend. Keep to both numbers once inside, and leave when either one runs out. A room at the hotel is a reason to rest after the drive, not a reason to play longer. Gambling at a SIGA casino is for people 19 and older. Under SIGA's rules, anyone younger cannot be paid winnings.

About the Highway 9 desk

This guide is written and signed collectively as the Highway 9 desk. That is a shared name for the guide, not a person. No page carries a personal byline, and the site has no named author.

Facts were checked on October 13, 2026. Sources were the casino's own pages at bearclawcasino.ca and SIGA's page for the casino. Provincial sources were Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, the Government of Saskatchewan and SaskGaming. Distances are straight lines between map points from OpenStreetMap, not road distances.

The young woman in the pictures is an AI-generated illustrated character. She is not a real person, not casino staff and not the author. The illustrations are not photographs of the casino; the one photograph of the building is by Masterhatch, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons. The guide has no forms, comments or accounts. It keeps nothing about readers except the colour theme chosen in the browser tab.
